Rotenflue – Haggenegg – Rätigs

With the gondola of the Rotenfluebahn you can reach the mountain above Schwyz at 1571 meters above sea level in a relaxed way. The view to the Grossen Mythen and over Lake Lucerne is magnificent.
On this hiking tour you will circle the Mythen massif and roam through the beautiful forests that surround these mountains. In the Restarant Haggenegg there is the possibility for a rest before the path leads back below the small Mythen. Thanks to the Rätigs midway station, we don’t need to climb the 500 meters to the top station but can comfortably take the train back to Rickenbach.

Rotenflue – Zwüschet Mythen – Rätigs

This route is a shortened variant of the loop via Haggenegg. Here you walk between [Zwüschet] the Great and the Small Mythen to get back to the Rotenfluebahn on the southwest side.
The route also offers a great view over Central Switzerland. The descent between the myths is steep only suitable for surefooted hikers.

Rätigs – Rotenflue

The ascent from the middle station of the Rotenfluebahn up to the Rotenflue, leads over the “Stotzigweid”. As the name makes clear, it is a steep climb. At the top, you are rewarded not only with a magnificent view, but also with excellent food in the Gipfelstubli.
